The Hope Fair: A New Chapter Begins with Mutita Mayai
As 2024 marks the 10-year anniversary of The Hope Fair, it’s a moment to celebrate a decade of remarkable achievements while welcoming an exciting new chapter. Since its inception, The Hope Fair has not only donated over 1.2 million THB to the Mercy Center but has also built a vibrant community of artisans, small entrepreneurs, and conscious shoppers. It has fostered organic collaboration, provided meaningful growth opportunities, and inspired a more sustainable approach to shopping.
Aurelie Doye, the visionary founder of The Hope Fair, reflects on this milestone with pride. “Over the years, we’ve supported hundreds of artisans and entrepreneurs, and enabled thousands of consumers to improve their lives with products crafted with love and purpose,” she shares. Under her leadership, The Hope Fair evolved into more than just a marketplace—it became a thriving community driven by shared values of sustainability, collaboration, and purpose.
Now, after leading The Hope Fair for the past decade, Aurelie is stepping down with confidence and optimism. She believes the future of The Hope Fair is in great hands with its new owner, Mutita Mayai. “I’m stepping down, confident that Mutita and her team will grow and scale The Hope Fair to the level it truly deserves. I look forward to visiting future editions of The Hope Fair as a guest and reconnecting with this amazing community,” Aurelie adds.
Mutita, the new owner of The Hope Fair, is no stranger to event management. With years of experience at Live Promotions Bkk, she brings a passion for organizing events and a fresh vision for The Hope Fair’s future. “First, I want to thank Aurelie for creating such a wonderful space for all of us. She’s done an incredible job, and I feel so lucky to carry on what she started,” Mutita says.
Her goal is to preserve everything that makes The Hope Fair special while introducing thoughtful improvements. One of her first initiatives is a redesign of The Hope Fair’s website to make it more user-friendly and keep everyone updated on upcoming events and news. Looking ahead to 2025, Mutita has already announced a packed calendar, with fairs planned for March, May, September, and November.
Mutita is also eager to hear from the community. She has launched an anonymous survey to gather feedback and ideas for further enhancing The Hope Fair experience. “Your feedback is super important to me,” she emphasizes. “I can’t wait to see you at the next fair and work together to make The Hope Fair even better.”
As The Hope Fair enters this exciting new chapter, the mission remains unchanged: to support artisans and small businesses, promote sustainable shopping, and give back to the community through charity. With Mutita at the helm, the future looks brighter than ever for The Hope Fair and its growing community.
Here’s to celebrating the past 10 years and looking forward to the future—a future filled with hope, creativity, and shared purpose. See you at the next fair!
